Apple’s Developers Conference
Apple’s yearly Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) was held in San Fran 6 June.
They previously announced – and kept to it – that it would be ‘software only’ event, no hardware at all.
I have full post updates on all discussed, which you can access via the links below.
WWDC Keynote topics
During the keynote given by Steve Jobs and others, highlights were:
- OS X Lion – Mac Operating System
- iOS5.0 – available in Spring

iPhone – now with TomTom navigation
Also at WWDC, Peter-Frans Pauwels of TomTom showcased a new navigation application for the iPhone to be released a little later this year through the iPhone app store.
The new software is real navigation, combining map data with turn-by-turn spoken instructions, saved addresses, fastest routes and much more.
TomTom are industry leaders, so this is exciting news for iPhone users.
Also watch out for the TomTom app accessories. They will also launch a car kit that powers, streams music, hands free calling and of course, windshied swivel iPhone stand for use when navigating.
