Review the Mophie specs
Points to note
- 1200mAh (smaller than some competitors, but battery size is outweighed by less bulk added to your iPhone)
- Smart Battery technology, meaning it drains the Juice Pack Air first before your iPhone
- The benefit of a hard case and battery, with on/off switch when your Juice Pack Air is not needed
- Full hard case, not a half case, so more of your precious iPhone is safely protected

CNET – Editors Choice: 8.5 out of 10
There’s no doubt that the Mophie Juice Pack Air is our favourite iPhone battery design. The combination of battery and protective covering is great and the way it fits perfectly around the handset is exactly what we want.” Read more
PCWorld
The main drawcard of the Mophie Juice Pack Air is the fact that it offers the convenience of extended battery life for your mobile phone and the protection of a hard case in one device.” Read more

If you are an iPhone junkie and constantly use your Apple phone, then the Mophie Juice Pack Air is a no brainer. It provides protection and additional power all in one well designed package.” Read more
Engadget
The case does add a wee bit of bulk around back, but to us, it’s hardly a deal killer. For giving users the ability to rely on heavy 3G web surfing without fear of running the battery dry within 24 hours, we feel the added bulge is a fair trade.” Read more

It offers superior protection to the prior Juice Pack, sells for less, comes in more color options, and adds a power switch that can let you keep some battery power in reserve for emergencies.” … “One certainly positive element of Juice Pack Air’s performance was its impact on the iPhone 3G’s speakerphone: there’s virtually none.” … “In other words, the iPhone can still function well as a speakerphone while it’s inside this accessory.”

- Full access to all iPhone controls without removing it from the case

“How do you find the XSKN eXo Mask?”
Here’s some recent feedback received when we asked customers that question.
Customer Review: Black on Red eXo Mask
![]()
Rating: 8/10
“I haven’t had any issues with the cover.I guess it does detract a little from the Apple design which is sleek and attractive; but the only way around that would be to go for the clear hard plastic cases which will protect it from scratches but probably not the best if you dropped it from a height.
Phone funtionality remains the same, so no problems there.
Overall, the best thing is that for a reasonable cost I’m more comfortable that I’m not going damage my iPhone if I drop it – given I’ve signed up for a 24mth plan.”

Customer Review: Black on White eXo Mask

“I am very happy with the service and the product.
The black on white silicone iPhone skin preserves the look and feel of the phone without spoiling the original 16gb white beauty, giving it a robust skin that gives me confidence in the harshest environments.
The iPhone is a jewel that requires care!”

Want to know what others are saying about the XRAP?
XSKN XRAP for iPhone 3G: XRAP case review
There is no movement on the unit once it is placed in the case meaning that it actually feels comfortable, well built and sturdy. The case will protect against, the usual knocks and hits. The
cover also protects all surfaces of the iphone from getting scratched or marked without having to apply fiddly thin plastic sheets over the screen and back plate.

MACTALK: It has also received some thumbs up on the MacTalk forums
Yeah, I picked up one of these cases. I am quite impressed as I was expecting the touch to be much less sensitive given the front cover. I find you have to apply slightly more pressure, but
it’s fine.

Is the iPhone just for devoted Apple fans?
With all the hype surrounding the release of the iPhone 3G, we previously did a quick post letting you know where you could find some technical advice before outlaying your hard earned cash.
CNET helps you out with technical advice as well as “is the iPhone for me” type questions: Have your iPhone 3G questions answered
On that post we received some iPhone review comments:
iPhone 3G Review
As a fan of Nokia phones for the last 14 years, the decision to go to an iPhone was not taken lightly.
I got mine on Saturday, and I am in love!
I am not very technically minded and don’t use a Mac, but I am managing to figure things out as I go along. I didn’t like the fact that you get no instruction book or CD. I did have to call Optus tech support to ask why I wasn’t connecting to the net (I got through really quickly) and they had a team dedicated to iPhone. I hadn’t downloaded iTunes!
I am definitely happy that I have made the switch and glad that I went with Optus who have given me a 16GB phone for $2 a month over 2 years on a $79 cap with $550 in calls and text and 500MB of download. (my boss paid $319 for hers through Vodafone and is locked to a contract for 2 years!)
Got a great case from FunkyCoverz: Xrap Hard Shell - don’t forget to peel off the protective coating!
Great one, thanks for the input Michelle; AND for the tip – it will serve us well ![]()
