Search: Industry Shake-up
There are industry whispers that Apple may replace Google with Microsoft Bing as the iPhones default browser.

With rivalry tensions increasing between Apple and Google, it appears Apple may provide the ultimate face slap if they side with Microsoft.
This would be a significant blow,” says Jonathan Yarmis, analyst at the research firm Ovum. “Google would be cut off from the most important platform on the mobile Web.”
Apple also recently bought mobile advertising company Quattro Wireless, two months after Google purchased Quattro Wireless rival AdMob.
The launch of the first official Bing app (free) for the iPhone and iPod touch was in December – and whilst Bing is still relatively new, it has snatched 10.7% of the market share, although Google still reigns as the overall leader – including on mobile search.
That may all change with Bing as default on iPhones…?
Execs from Bloomberg’s BusinessWeek state:
Dropping the top search engine as the default on the iPhone would cut Google off from valuable data about smartphone users”
Your Comments?
So what do iPhone owners think? Would you be happy to use Bing on your iPhone – or prefer to stick with Google?
Not happy? Business Week also mentioned that:
Apple is also said to be quietly working away behind the scenes on its own search-engine and mobile advertising solutions, implying that the Bing deal may be “short-lived”.

Relieving to know you no longer miss parts of the movie…
Well, now we have an iPhone App for everything! Developers, you can stop writing new apps
Never again will you miss an important part of the movie plot!
Our iPhone app gives movie goers “immunity” from the effects of mega-sized sodas and flushes away those grueling post-movie restroom lines where you have to wait your turn in pain and avoid awkward eye contact with the 30 other people in the restroom with you….a bladder is a terrible thing to hold.
So, yes, it tells you when to “run” and “pee”.
Noice!

“Lost iPhone, lost iPhone, where for art thou?”
At Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Fran, Apple’s Scott Forstall demoed a new iPhone app that can help locate your lost or stolen iPhone.
This service is available to all MobileMe subscribers. If you lose your iPhone, you can log into MobileMe and it will show you on a map exactly where your iPhone is.
You can also send a message to your lost iPhone – and it will sound an alert tone, even if it is set to silent. This is helpful to provide contact details for anyone finding your iPhone.
This is great news for anyone always misplacing their belongings… but hopefully, even better as a deterrent to would-be iPhone thieves.
Should your iPhone be stolen, you risk identify theft. The “Find my iPhone” app can even send a command to your iPhone to wipe the private data on there. But don’t worry if you find it around the house, your contacts, mail etc can later be restored from iTunes backup.

For those not a subscriber to MobileMe, a ‘Find my iPhone’ app is also available on the iPhone Apps store. Download Find my iPhone ![]()
Features are a little different and MobileMe subscribers should stick with the newer version.
