Be iPhone technically prepared for the holidays
Summer is in the air - and Christmas is just around the corner.
That means most of us are planning on travelling for Christmas day with the family - or even the yearly family holidays.
So, will you be technically prepared or challenged when travelling this holiday season?
Being technically prepared
Keeping occupied
Buy a new Apple iPhone 3G for keeping you busy for the long trips. Then, on your new iPhone you can listen to music, play games, access Google Maps, book last minute accommodation, keep in contact with your buddies back home.
Keeping charged
Running out of iPhone battery charge just as you’re trying to take the all important snaps of the little ones unwrapping their presents will cause you lots of frustration… Take a back-up power supply for your iPhone or iPhone 3G:
Or if you’d like a “one-power-pack-suits all gadgets” check out the DLO PowerPack. You can use the included DLO PowerBug, auto charger and dock cables on your iPhone, as well as the family’s iPods, mobile phones, MP3s and any other USB charging devices.
Keeping covered
Digital gadgets and sea water don’t mix! You can protect your iPhone by grabbing the Marware Sportsuit Convertible which includes an armband pouch for early morning jogs along the beach. Also in the pack is a removable belt clip for whenever else you’re out and about with your precious iPhone, I mean family…
There are also heaps of other options available in the way of iPhone covers. Something for everyone!
Keeping clean and germ-free
You’d be amazed (and horrified) by how many infectious germs can be passed on by others using our digital gadgets. Wipe off sticky little niece and nephew fingerprints with the multi-use iKlear Cleaning kit.

Combining your love of travel - and your iPhone
Learn the local language when travelling
So you’re planning your yearly trip overseas - and you’re going to some exotic place that doesn’t speak English? Lucky you!!
Of course, the locals are much more helpful, polite and accepting if you at least try to speak their language.
Not to mention the embarrasing pickles it might keep you out of.
(Remember JFK’s embarrassing proclamation “I am a sausage”…)
How to learn another language
Thanks to WorldNomads.com you can download a multitude of free iPhone (or iPod touch) language applications.
Designed for adventure travellers, our new iPhone language guides contains both audio language phrases to let your iPhone do the talking and a language lesson in context to help you in conversation with the locals.
Search for WorldNomads on iTunes Apps store, find the language you need and download it to your iPhone.
Why not learn the new language on the plane over - thereby also avoiding any annoying idle conversations with neighbouring travellers?
Heck! You don’t even need to be travelling … maybe you just want to broaden your circle of admirers by dazzling them with a romantic rant in French or something?!
Au revoir!
