White iPhone 4 available
The white iPhone 4 made it’s way to Australian shores late April.
Issues leading to the delay of the white iPhone 4 were finally rectfied, namely light leakage (unconfirmed) and trouble with the white paint on the glass front and rear surfaces.
- Is colour a vital deal maker or breaker for you? Did you rush out and get the white iPhone 4? I personally don’t like the look of white, much prefer the sleekness of the black. But that’s just me.
- Or does colour mean little to you – and you’re patiently waiting for the iPhone 5?
Are you holding out for iPhone 5?
So – Just when will that be?
It’s ‘expected’ to be September – and it appears Apple’s press release about their yearly Worldwide Developers’ Conference being held 6 June in San Fran supports the theory.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs and a team of Apple executives will kick off the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with a keynote address on Monday, 6 June at 10:00 a.m (PST). At the keynote, Apple will unveil its next generation software – Lion, the eighth major release of Mac OS X; iOS 5, the next version of Apple’s advanced mobile operating system which powers the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch; and iCloud, Apple’s upcoming cloud services offering.”
Yep. Sounds like software only. (Hope some of the iOS4 bluetooth issues are resolved in iOS5).
But, will they do a turn-around crowd-pleaser and drop the iPhone 5? Techguide, amongst others, are sharing that suspicion. But that’s not the only rumour circulating…
What’s your speculations?

Ongoing saga with iPhone 4 reception
Apple has received more media coverage over the last couple of weeks for their iPhone 4 then on the actual release date.
The admission of signal software issues (and an iOS 4 update released), alongside huge complaints about the iPhone 4 reception, and talk of an iPhone 4 recall.
Analysts suggest that Apple realises it would cost millions less just to provide the free iPhone case.
Apple News Conference
So, Apple chief executive Steve Jobs announced during a news conference on 16 July that to alleviate the reception death grip issue, they would provide a free iPhone cover to the more than three million people who have bought the iPhone 4. As well, those purchasing up until 30 September will be eligible for the free protective case. Those who have already purchased the “Bumper” cases will be refunded.
