Say goodbye to healthy price competition?
Rumours started circulating week before last that Telstra might also have their fingers in the Apple pie …
Now, alongside Vodafone and Optus to supply Apple’s iPhone, Telstra have also been confirmed – with Telstra the only one so far to release iPhone contract prices. (These prices are not yet confirmed on their website)
Are these prices what you expected?

So, what about 3?
Now that the three big telco’s have secured the Apple iPhone in Australia, many are asking “what about Hutchison 3?”
“Ever since Apple’s announcement that a 3G iPhone is coming, we’ve had lots of calls and emails – the main flavour is people wanting to get the value that 3 offers with the iPhone,”
“We want Apple to see just how much our customers want the iPhone.” Noel Hamill, Director Sales, Marketing & Product
If you’re a fan of 3’s low contract prices and data plans, hop along to the 3 website and help them put their argument to Apple.

Vodafone news
Vodafone announced they have signed an agreement with Apple to launch the iPhone in Australia – and that we can expect it “later this year”.
Register your interest with them on their website – however it appears you have to be a Vodafone customer already to do so.
Late breaking news from Optus
Optus has today also advised that they will bring iPhones to Australia for use on their network.
As with the Vodafone news release, details are minimal and sketchy.
