iPhone launch – September, October, later?
So there are the usual copious rumour reports from “Apple sources” (I prefer Apple pie) touting when the next generation Apple iPhone will drop – and whether it will be an iPhone 4S or an iPhone 5, whether there will be major structural changes or more internal.
DigiTimes announced that “Pegatron Technology has landed orders for 10 million units of iPhone 5″ … “with shipments to start in September”.
According to iLounge, “AT&T are readying staff for an early September launch”, both of which fit with the usual Apple product September launch (iPods). Though there was industry speculation that it might be delayed until October (September makes sense to me!).
There was even the “iPhone 5 spotted in the wild” whip arounds (please point out where the passengers legs are in that ‘photo’?)
I’ve also been contacted to buy iPhone 5 covers and accessories already – but well, I placed that email right beside the one telling me I’d won the lottery.
Although, one of the most indepth rumour-mill-collating comes from Tech Radar, providing a great round-up: iPhone 5 rumours. It’s really a year in review of the iPhone rumours.
One thing we can probably count on though, is a further wait in Oz!
