Putting the workplace stationery cubpoard to use – Part 2

Well, what a fiasco your bulldog clip iPhone stand created, hey?!

I guess you got a little over-zealous by using a year’s supply of the office’s bulldog clips and “black market” selling your iPhone stand to all your co-workers.

You know, it’s not totally your fault.  Remember, they factor a little stationery stealing into the budget – so they’re just playing the well-known corporate “Because I’m the boss” game.  Don’t worry about it.

What’s the worst that happened?  They banned you from free access to the stationery cupboard until you could prove yourself trustworthy.  They were so smug when they said “all you’re allowed is paper, pencils and rubber bands”.  Humpphh.

Their fault for not recognising your ingenuity…

Armed with your iPhone and “pencil allowance”, let’s see how to accessorise your iPhone.

How to make an iPhone stand

    What you need:

    • Your iPhone
    • Once again -the corner back cubicle (to avoid the boss sneaking up)
    • Free supply of pencils and rubber bands (the paper can be used to advertise your creation?)
    • Aforementioned ingenuity
    • Simple instructions

    Pros:

    • Not only inexpensive, down right free
    • Collapsible
    • Mobile – take it with you everywhere

Well – team this up with your skill of trying to appear busy and hard working – and your love of watching movies on your iPhone and you’re all set to make yourself a handy little iPhone accessory.

    Charging into the future

How to charge your iPhone and other gadgets without wires?  Household and/or desktop adornments of course.

Thanks to Gizmodo, who came across this piece of equipment / accessory / adornment (not sure exactly what I want to call it)…

    Desktop iPhone charger

You place your iPhone (or mobile phone or whatever) on it and it charges over the air, no plugging it in, no wires!

It uses internal coils to pick up the charge. Click the image above for more details about how it works.

Now we all like to be able to charge our gadgets easily, but I’d be keen to know more about how much extra (or less?) power it uses, how safe the emissions are etc…

And whilst it means no more wires at home (or on your office desk), what about charging your iPhone when travelling?

    Charge on!
