Apple iPhone 4 recall

Will Apple recall the iPhone 4?
We’re hearing industry rumours circulating about whether the iPhone 4 should be recalled to “fix it’s reception issues” amongst other software problems (like the false reception antenna indicators).
Yesterday The Australian reported:
Consumer Reports said it couldn’t recommend the iPhone 4 for purchase, given the widely reported reception problems that the magazine confirmed in its own lab. Readers were told to wait until Apple fixed the problem or offered a free case to mitigate the issue.”
A free case? Well, Apple in the US have released their own “Bumper Case” (that iPhone Case not yet available on Apple.au store) which of course bandaid fixes the problem, but doesn’t fix the cause.

Many complaints have been lodged and even a CNet columnist recommended that Apple recall the device.
The benefit to us Aussies awaiting the release in Australia is that perhaps the problems might be sorted before it lands on our shores… fingers crossed!
Apple has released nothing itself about a possible recall, however negative industry gossip is also being blamed for the Apple shares dropping.
I’m sure that won’t last though?!
Buying the iPhone
Of course if like me, you want an iPhone 4 regardless, then don’t be scared off by gossip.
