iPhone 3GS: New iPhone to be launched later this month

Apple’s vice president of marketing, Phil Schiller, launched the new iPhone at the WWDC in San Francisco during his keynote yesterday.

The fastest, most powerful iPhone yet”

The new iPhone 3GS  (S = speed)  will be released on 19 June in both 16Gb or 32GB.

New iPhone 3GS features

  • There will be a 3Mp camera onboard, which interactive touch features for focusing etc.
  • Another much waited for capability will be video capabilities, with the ability to edit and upload directly to YouTube and other similar sites.
  • Voice activiation will be available for controlling some menu items, like calls and music.

iPhone 3.0 OS

The next version of the iPhone operating system, iPhone 3.0 OS, will also be released on 17 June, with free upgrade to existing iPhone owners. The upgraded OS will allow iPhone users to connect to one another wirelessly for game playing and other similar activities. More importantly for some though – cut, copy and paste! Finally.  And undo. And MMS.

iPhone 3G still about

Good news for those who may not be able to afford all the bells and whistles of the brand new iPhone 3GS, the original iPhone 3G will still be available – at a reduced price.
